getting here.

Enjoy the Journey.

On a remote farm, near a remote village a wee way from a remote town – aka the middle of nowhere…. but just possibly exactly where you want to be.

Nest is in fact just off the beaten track and located smack bang in the center of the South Island, the perfect location between two main State Highways, (1 & 8) an easy deviation if you are heading North or South,

You will find your tree house perched high in the trees on the side of a cliff on our farm deep in the Hakataramea Valley. We are located less than ten minutes from the town of Kurow in the stunning Waitaki Valley.

Driving

Nestled between the McKenzie and Waimate Districts Nest enjoys its cosy location close to so many popular tourist towns. A short 40-minute drive on State Highway 83 from Omarama past the stunning aqua green lakes of Benmore and Aviemore will bring you to Nest. While a 40-minute drive from Oamaru at the opposite end of State Highway 83 will also bring you through farmland scenery to Nest.

The Alps to Ocean Cycle trail also meanders through the Waitaki Valley down State Highway 83. Guests requiring a special type of accommodation (and maybe even some pampering) throughout their trip are welcome to request to be picked up from Kurow at the end of their days ride.
