Guests can soak in the views as they relax into the tranquil waters of their very own Stoked hot tub, sunk into the deck just steps from your front door. Feel your everyday stresses fade away as you sink deep into the outdoor bath sprinkled with delicious Real World bath salts, close your eyes and drift into a magical carefree space and time under the stars. Or… load up your custom-made Douglas fir bath caddy with a glass of wine, nibbles and lie back with your favourite book, what a way to spend an afternoon.
Sweat it out.
A short walk through the trees from your retreat, guests will discover another swing bridge leading to our luxury stand-alone cedar sauna which boasts a panoramic view across the surrounding forest… soak in the steam, lie back and relax knowing the healing and health benefits a sauna brings. Once you are feeling the heat, those brave enough can step out onto the deck for an invigorating cold plunge shower before re-entering the warmth and cedar rich sauna. This unique sauna feels spacious, with premium bench and arch seating allowing guests to lounge in the heat while feeling part of their natural surroundings.
Say it with flowers
If your treehouse stay is part of a special occasion why not elevate your loved ones experience by surprising them with a bunch of flowers left in your treehouse on arrival.

Just a little walk from your cosy abode, guests can take in the sites across this stunning valley from two lovingly made wooden swings set in the trees at the highest point of the Nest forest.

For those guests willing to splash out for a truly unforgettable Nest experience we can arrange with the team at Heli-Ventures to take guests from our landing pad high on the hill for a real birds-eye view scenic flight throughout the Waitaki Valley, across to Mount Cook and Beyond. For those travellers short on time our location is perfect to take a short flight to lunch at the award-winning Riverstone Kitchen in Oamaru or even down to the internationally celebrated Fleurs Place in Moraki.

For those curious about the life and land around them, farm tours can be purchased on request. One of our farming team will take guests to explore the heights and hollows of our Hakataramea Farm, including meeting staff, visiting the dairy shed and where possible even milking your own cow. At Nest, guests are welcome to roam the farm on allocated tracks which will be advised on their arrival. Enjoy watching the farm life roam by as you meander through the fields close by, taking in every part of the invigorating country air and picturesque scenery we are so lucky to enjoy here in the Hakataramea Valley.
